We are delighted to announce that The 6A Gallery now represents Belgian textile sculptor Anne-Sophie d’Oultremont.

Her work immediately caught our attention for its originality and remarkable ability to play with perception.

Using carded wool and needle felting, Anne-Sophie creates sculptural works inspired by the living world, transforming an unexpected material into strikingly realistic forms.

What makes her work so captivating is the surprise it creates: realistic at first sight, each sculpture reveals the softness and texture of wool as you come closer. This combination of trompe-l’œil, craftsmanship and originality gives her work a truly distinctive identity.

We are very happy to welcome Anne-Sophie to The 6A Gallery and look forward to sharing her work with you.

The 6A Gallery presents its new exhibition, An Invitation to Look Closer, bringing together Lin Jin, Théodé and Sophie Jouve.

Why An Invitation to Look Closer?

Because looking closer is about discovering more.
A detail, a texture, a gesture, a material, a subtle contrast — each work offers different layers to explore and invites the viewer to experience it beyond the first encounter.

Through very different artistic languages, the three artists share a particular attention to matter, detail and perception. Their works encourage us to come closer, observe, and discover the richness that lies within each creation.

An Invitation to Look Closer is quite literally an invitation: to take the time to look, explore and feel.

Met hout verkent de kunstenaar de puurheid van lijnen, evenwicht en beweging. Elke sculptuur ontstaat uit een dialoog met het materiaal, waarbij hij de natuurlijke vormen met eenvoud en elegantie tot uiting brengt.

Nu te ontdekken bij The 6A Gallery.

This week, The 6A Gallery puts the spotlight on Jean Coutelier, aka WoodyArt.

Through wood, the artist explores purity of line, balance and movement. Each sculpture emerges from a dialogue with the material, revealing its natural forms with simplicity and elegance.

Colour as matter, light as emotion.

In this new work by Burhan Amer, shades overlap and respond to one another, moving from deep blues to luminous yellows and vibrant pinks.

Up close, the painting reveals its texture and the artist’s gesture. From a distance, it becomes almost an abstract landscape, shifting with the light and the viewer’s gaze.

One of the new works presented in our exhibition MATTER & EMOTION, a dialogue between the paintings of Burhan Amer and the sculptures of Jean Coutellier.

BURHAN AMER — Matière & Émotion

La couleur comme matière, la lumière comme émotion.

Dans cette nouvelle œuvre de Burhan Amer, les nuances se superposent et se répondent, passant des bleus profonds aux jaunes lumineux puis aux roses intenses.

Vue de près, la peinture révèle toute sa texture et le geste de l’artiste. À distance, elle devient presque un paysage abstrait, changeant avec la lumière et le regard.

Une des nouvelles œuvres présentées dans notre exposition MATIÈRE & ÉMOTION, dialogue entre les peintures de Burhan Amer et les sculptures de Jean Coutellier.

BURHAN AMER — Materie & Emotie

Kleur als materie, licht als emotie.

In dit nieuwe werk van Burhan Amer overlappen de tinten elkaar en gaan ze met elkaar in dialoog, van diepe blauwtinten naar helder geel en intens roze.

Van dichtbij onthult het schilderij zijn volledige textuur en de beweging van de kunstenaar. Vanop afstand krijgt het bijna de uitstraling van een abstract landschap, dat verandert met het licht en de blik van de toeschouwer.

Een van de nieuwe werken die te zien zijn in onze tentoonstelling MATERIE & EMOTIE, een dialoog tussen de schilderijen van Burhan Amer en de sculptur
